Walk a Mile in Your Shoes
I can't say I've walked a mile in your shoes but I have walked a mile in a lot of different shoes ... and I've felt my share of pain along the way, too.
I grew up on the farm, so I'm not afraid of a little hard work. I started picking berries for money when I was 10 years old. Those were formative years for me.
I put myself through college by working on a factory production line. Yeah, I've been that guy.
After I graduated from the University of Washington in accounting & finance, I started my career in sales. First, I sold financial investments. Then I sold and installed accounting software packages. These experiences gave me a deeper understanding of sales & marketing than most financial professionals have.
Over the next few years I began working my way up the business ladder as an accountant, financial analyst, controller, and CFO.
For the last 20+ years, I've been working as a business consultant. I've helped a lot of different types of companies including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, professional service firms, and construction companies. I've also helped a few non-profits and governmental organizations, too.
