Future State vs. Present Reality

Compare your desired state to your current state.

Imagine a desired future state where the problem doesn’t exist (i.e. your problem has already been solved).

To create a comparison between future state and current state:

Step 1:  List as many 'future state' factors as you can think of:

Step 2:  Now, match these 'future state' factors to comparable factors on your Major Categories, Factors, and Drill Down lists.

Step 3:  What are the similar factors between the future state list and the current state list?

Step 4:  What are the common themes or patterns between the two lists?

Step 5:  What are the differences?
